Chicken Town Hatchery & Hens believes its our responsibility as a hatchery to take in roosters from our unsexed chicks. There is an ever increasing issue of unwanted roosters being dumped up mountains, roadsides and rural areas to fend for themselves. We hatched these animals into existence so it is our responsibility to take back unsexed chicks that end up roosters to offer peace of mind to families and those who cannot raise roosters. (Bylaw concerns, noise complaints or just having too many roosters in a flock). Think before you purchase chicks and have a plan in mind if your seller does not take in roosters.
